When I roll on my Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls, I find relief to my stiffness, soreness and increase the mobility of my body. Sometimes, I uncover body blind spots and create awareness to things I didn't even know were going on. On rare occasions, I have rolled out and been walloped with emotions - anger, tears for no reason, and (my favorite) elation.
At a 4 Day Yoga Tune Up® Core Immersion training, I deeply explored the connection between my diaphragm and pelvic floor. My emotions were vibrant, to put it mildly! My teachers warned me this could happen, but I hadn't experienced the emotional onslaught to this extent before. I needed the scientific reasons behind these feelings, did it exist?
Thankfully, I stumbled across a Collective Evolution blog, The Effects of Negative Emotions on Our Health by Joe Martino. Martino writes, "Our emotions and experiences are essentially energy and they can be stored in the cellular memory of our bodies." So that's why I wanted to cry when rolling my abdominals on the Coregeous® ball, even though it physically felt great!
Our emotions and experiences are essentially energy and they can be stored in the cellular memory of our bodies.
See you in class this week!
